Cook For the Cure: Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The month of October is attributed to being the official month of many things, but probably one of the most important is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
There are a lot of “pink” products that are designed to support awareness and provide donations for the cause. Kitchen-aide has “pink” products for sale. With each purchase up to $50 is donated to the Susan G. Komen for The Cure. The products range from aprons (shown above), toasters, tea pots and mixers. I counted 33 different Kichen-aide “pink” products. These products are available on-line and in a variety of stores.
The Kitchen-Aide site also has some information on how to host a Cook for the Cure Party. You can download a party kit from their website which includes customizable invitations, party suggestions and entertaining tips. Recipes for a variety of parties are included as well: appetizers, brunch, dessert and dinner. Instead of bringing a hostess gift the guests bring a donation. Donations are sent to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or to a local affiliate. For more information on how to host a Cook for the Cure Party, click here.
