Countdown to the Conference

October 25, 2006 by Kristina Chew, PhD

Two more days until Autism and Advocacy: A Conference of Witness and Hope will take place on October 27th, Friday, at Fordham University’s Lincoln Center campus in New York City.

Some 300 are registered.

Thank you to all who have sent in photos that will be shown to “portray the varieties of human experience as we all know it.” It is still not too late to send in a photo (JPEG file format would be wonderful) via email to a href=”mailto:autismland@gmail.com”>Kristina at autismland AT gmail DOT com.

Thank you to those who have spread the word.

If anyone had said to us a year ago that this conference on autism and advocacy would be happening—when we were struggling about how to advocate for Charlie, for his learning and his life—-I would have thought it very puzzling, almost as much as the latest hypothesis for what causes autism.

Thank you to Charlie for being our guide on a long and winding journey in Autismland.
