CouponMom Helps You Cut the Fat on Your Thanksgiving Bill

Stephanie Nelson, aka The Coupon Mom, was on the Today Show this morning spilling the beans on how we can shop for our Thanksgiving dinner and not have to pay a fortune.

Did you know the regular family (with in-laws I guess) spends around $75 for Thanksgiving dinner? I wouldn’t know, we go out since our son is allergic to turkey. Well she shopped and it ended up only costing $29.25 for her Thanksgiving meal.

Before coupons: $74.51

after coupons:    $29.95

Total savings:      $45.26

It is true, most stores will reduce the price of those Thanksgiving day yummies and coupon companies dish those coupons out in Sunday papers as well.

A tip: Sometimes it cost less to actually make the items yourself. However some are better and cheaper if you buy them already made. It all depends on the deals you can get. (the video below is NOT the one I wanted, but still shows more tips)
