I haven’t been blogging here as much as I want to but that’s because I have been busy with a scrapbook project that I started about 3 weeks ago. A friend of mine commissioned me to make a wedding anniversary album (for a fee) for her parents’ 30th wedding anniversary. It’s very exciting and I feel so honoured that she chose me to do this project for her.

With her permission, I will post the different layouts/pages I made for the album in the following days.

How did I prepare for this project?

When I knew it was going ahead, I decided on the size of the layouts I’m working on and proceeded to buy the album and the papers I’m going to need. For this project, I am using the Basic Grey Sublime Collection

Here are timesaving tips on how to prepare for a themed album:

1. Purchase matching cardstock and patterned papers so you don’t spend your time mixing and matching the papers that you have to see if they go together.
2. Make an outline of what each page would be. This gives you an idea of how many pages you’re going to work on and what the ‘topic’ is for each page. For this project, I even had a 4-column table that I gave to my customer so she knows what materials (photos, messages) I need from her for each page.

The 4 columns are: Pages, Title, Photos Needed, Messages From

The pages are:

Cover (as pictured above)
Pages 1 and 2
so on and so forth

On each corresponding ‘page/s’ – I have listed suggested title, what photos and messages I need.
The titles are:
Cover – 30 Years of Love and Family
Pages 1 and 2 – To Love and to hold from this day forward
Pages 3 and 4 – Eldest Child
Pages 5 and 6 – Second child
There are about 6 children so I allocated a double layout for each of the children.
After the pages of the children, next ones up are
Now we are Complete
Through the Years

I also added miscellaneous pages for the other messages that the customer asked me to add. You will see these in the next few days.

Materials Used:
Cardstock: Heirloom Making Memories 35 Sheets/Pkg
Patterned Papers: Basic Grey Sublime
Title: Computer Font – Mystic, Franciscan, CK Man’s Print, Juergen, Staccato222BT
Embellishments:
Making Memories Paint set w/6 bottles-Harvest
,Making Memories Alpha Foam Stamp Set – Upper Jersey
