Creative Therapy

For some keeping a journal is considered a form of therapy. Personally, I can’t help agree. There’s nothing like being able to just get something off my mind in the pages of my journal. Today was a perfect example for me. Since writing up a crazy incident that happened this morning over breakfast at a local takeaway food chain I’ve felt more grounded and at peace about the event. With my recent dabbling into visual journal keeping, I’m discovering the therapy in creating art, too. It’s almost like getting lost somewhere lovely for just a little while. I tend to lose more time when I’m creating visual pages, too.
To help you with your journal pages, visual or otherwise, you might like to join the weekly challenges or simply be inspired by the Creative Therapy blog I discovered through a reader leaving a comment on this blog. Please feel free to leave a comment on this entry in the section below.

Hi Heather,
I followed the links and found Peggy Insall’s painting “I Lift up My Eyes”. I was inspired. Thank you.
Hi Eileen,
Yes, the artwork submitted to their blog is really great. I hope you find it a useful link, too.
Thanks for the reminder. My sister is stressing me out with her wedding right now. I could do with some journal writing.
Nice link too.
Hi Peggy,
I hope you help yourself to a nice little dose of creative therapy. Thanks for the comment.
