Cut Your Medical Bills

For some reason, I never think of negotiating for a lower rate when it comes to medical bills. I always think I have to pay whatever ridiculous costs they throw at me. But you know what? The medical profession is like any other industry where you purchase something. I suppose there are ways to lower the costs of anything you happen to spend money on.

There are some really nice ideas about cutting the costs of healthcare over at MSN. I especially liked the advice to ask if certain recommended services are necessary. Sometimes we just go along with whatever our doctor says and don’t question the treatments we’re being subjected to. Being more frugal in healthcare costs can also mean we are being more proactive in our medical care.
