Dad Left Kid in Car To Visit Strip Club

Talk about the worlds best dad, NOT, this is more like the idiot of the month. A father, Donald Crawford of Indiana, actually left his 5-year-old child in his car and decided to visit a strip club nearby.

Ummm, first, who in their right mind would leave their child in a car and visit strip club? Okay, so maybe he doesn’t have a right mind.

Police say they’ve arrested an Indiana truck driver who went drinking at a strip club after leaving his 5-year-old son in his semitrailer watching cartoons.

An Indianapolis police report says 39-year-old Donald Crawford was arrested early Tuesday on child neglect and public intoxication charges after reporting his truck stolen and son missing. Police said he forgot where he parked.

Okay I’ve also read he left him in the semi because he fell asleep so he went to the club. This one leaves that out. In the end the boy was found safe and sound, kind of. The semi was exactly where the dad had parked it earlier, he just forgot. The boy was inside watching cartoons, I guess he woke up and saw dad wasn’t there and began enjoying his morning. The bad part besides what dad did? Oh he left the keys in the ignition and the semi unlocked. Talk about a smooth move.

Okay so what should he have done? My guess is stay away from the club, however if the club was a must he should’ve found a babysitter or a relative to leave the child with for a few hours and then a ride home.
