Dating for People with a Learning Disability

Dating is, after all, for everyone.
A DATING agency is being set up in the Island to assist people with a learning disability to find romance.
The agency, which will be called Kindred Spirits and will be open to anyone aged 18 upwards with a learning disability, has been made possible by a £20,000, three-year donation from the directors of F Le Gallais and Sons. (Source: ThisisJersey.com)
As reported, the dating service was scheduled to start in August, spearheaded by David Harburn who knows that it’s difficult to find a mate if you have a learning disability since he was born with cerebral palsy. The service aims to achieve what any other normal dating service does, to match up men and women. The service will also cater to people who are looking for a same sex relationship.
I’m both surprised and happy to learn that such a service exists. I believe that no one really wants to live the rest of their life alone. Yes, even for people with learning disability. I know we all have the same needs, too.
What about you? Do you see any obstacle that this service will go through? What about the people participating as they go through the whole concept of matchmaking?

Sounds like a really worthwhile venture.
There are already some dating sites out there for people with disabilities but not specifically for those with learning disabilities.
