Daybook Entry for the Week

My weekend was busy as usual. I found that an unexpected visitor brought me several hours behind on my work, with deadlines looming. I miss the days when a visit was a happy event, rather than wishing that people who did not know me well would learn to call and schedule. Sometimes I think that the majority of the people around me(not close friends) have no clue about my time…and then I have to repent, because if God is really ordering my steps then I should not be frustrated when He schedules an interruption. I think that the next time He does that though He should schedule me several extra hours in the day.

For Today…
Outside my Window…The sun is just coming up and the animals are beginning to clamor for their breakfast. The trees are very still, it seems like there is no breeze at all.
I am thinking…of how happy I am to be back in our home church.
I am thankful for…God’s “handfuls on purpose”
From the kitchen…Homemade bread
I am creating..strong roots for my children
I am going…to the VA tomorrow for a mammogram. Blah.
I am wearing…red satin pajama pants and a black tank..barefoot…I need to do this later in the day, don’t I?
I am reading.. Bible only this week. Time crunch.
I am hoping…that things ease up around here. I need to reorder my life in some way but I am unsure as to what to drop and what to keep. Too many things all seem equally important.
I am hearing…Morning sounds; chickens wanting out of the coop, goats ready fo food..the click of a ceiling fan as it turns..
Around the house…Messy kitchen, and I need to clean my desk.
One of my favorite things…sewing. and I have not done it in awhile.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week…try to get back in the swing of school, go walking every morning.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you…

It was nice to have you at my site!1 Oh I know a larger house can be cluttered too! We are just so quickly out growing ours not with stuff necessarily but with kids. We have 3 kids 3 and under in a three bedroom house.
As for the curtains simple tab curtains out of some very pretty Americana fabric…and just a regular longer valance type for in the kids room. Their window has nothing on it and it despretly needs something!
I totally understand what you are saying about visitors and life!!!
We have started walking in the evening after the dinner. Have a wonderful week. I pray that you can find the balance that you are seeking.
School and walking – I’m thinking about the same thing! I hope your bread turned out great!
Thank you for visiting my blog. I love that picture also. It takes me back to simple times when everyone wasn’t rushing all the time to get things done. I am thinking about enlarging it and placing a Bible verse on it. Any ideas? I am a hobby photographer so most of the pictures I take have some deep meaning to me. Might be a leaf or a wave you never know.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
I teach part time during the school year and for some strange reason decided it would be “fun” to try selling the Avon under my sister during these summer months….not sure I could do it for 20 years like your friend though! I’m gonna try to make it last at least a year….maybe more!
Homemade bread…wow….too hot where we live to bake bread during the summer!
Had fun reading your daybook entry and that bread looks wonderful
I hope you can find that order you’re searching for – that’s always a conundrum for me, as well
Thanks Jen! It is hard, isn’t it?
Mmm – homemade bread! How wonderful! I’m going to try making bread again once our homeschool starts back up in September. It’s been many years since I tried.
I’ve tagged you – come by my blog and see!
