Dealing With Frustration in Caregiving

Tiredness and frustration take their toll on caregivers. When I thanked a nurse for the patient care she gave my mom who stayed at that facility for day care and sometimes weekends, she replied, “But it’s caregivers like you that I admire. After my shift, I can go home, but you can’t leave your mom.”
Yes, that is true, I thought. And I realized that sometimes caregiving is more than we bargain for, yet has its rewards, too.
A reader sent me the link to the following article, “Pushed to the Limit” by Hugh Marriott, that gives insight into what caregivers must cope with. It may be of help to anyone desiring more information on this topic.
