Decorating your Toilets

Toilets are quite necessary in any home to do your…you know…ablutions! LOL These rooms serve a necessary function for the needs of our body but it doesn’t mean we can neglect the aesthetics needs of the toilet.
We are on holiday in the West Coast of New Zealand when I discovered this decorating idea in one of Bed & Breakfasts we stayed in at the end of our trip. Toilets can have separate rooms from the main bathrooms and because they are so tiny (sometimes the size is big enough to fit a toilet bowl like the one pictured above!), there’s nothing else you can put it in apart from the walls.
Our guest toilet’s size and dimensions are similar to the one pictured above and I’ve always wondered what I can do to jazz up the bare walls in the toilet. Seeing this fabric type of ornament is a great idea. I love it! You can buy asian fabrics and hang them on the wall.
Voila, a great looking toilet!
What about you? What decorations have you got in your toilets?

I prefer items that are machine washable or that you can wipe clean for the bathroom. If I can’t throw it in the wash or spray it with cleaner and wipe it down, it probably would hold a lot of germs and a lot of dust and belongs in a living room instead.
