Depression Ends at 45

happy birthday 45 no more depression

So the title of this post, is slightly misleading.  I don’t think that there is a magic age where depression stops being an issue for people.  However,  a study done by Dartmouth and the University of Warwick suggests that depression peaks at the age of 44.

It is said that only in a persons 50’s do most people emerge from a dark depression.

So if depression, is a part of your CFS condition- how does this make you feel.  I suppose if you are already nearing the magic number of “44″ you would be happy with this news.

For those of us who have a bit to go before we reach our forties or fifties – this news is a tad depressing.

    chemicalfreezcal,

I am glad to hear that your friend’s suffering has eased a bit. What else has she been doing to get healthy?

    Reverse Jane,

Glad to know that you are doing so well. What helped you to become symptom free.

I will never give up. I live pretty well with CFS – my setbacks are temporary. I know that there are a lot of people out there who need the encouragement though – and so I send your message out to all of them.

I would love to know what you did to get well – please let us know.

    Janet, thanks for the link.

I would love to read that book. I am going to put it on my amazon wish list, so I don’t forget about it. Thanks for sharing.

    Hello laura,
After having CFS for such a long time, I heard about a therapy called Reverse Therapy and became symptom free by training in it. I am now a Reverse Therapist for a living, and it gives me such satisfaction to see people come through CFS like I did.
It’s not for everyone, but I believe the average rate of significant improvement from RT is 80%. If you want more information there is some on my website or on the main reverse therapy website.
I wish you all the best for the future!

    Reverse Jane,

thanks! I will check it out as soon as I get a chance.

Great news that you are now helping people get well, with the same method that worked for you.

    Right on!
