Diabetes Awareness Month And Depression

Hi all!

Yesterday officially began Diabetes Awareness Month. Many of you know that diabetes and depression often bully us hand-in-hand. That’s why it’s so important to talk with your doctor about the potential effects your depression is having on your diabetes, and vice versa, so you can properly treat both and help avoid one harassing the other.

Over at Diabetes Notes, Kendra James is calling for your stories about living with diabetes. She says:

Send me your thoughts, frustrations, accomplishments and everyday feelings and gripes and with your permission I will post it for all to see. It is always nice to get a fresh take on things and see that others live with the same thoughts and worries that you do.

Why not send her your story of juggling both depression and diabetes? How have the two affected each other, and what steps have you taken to live a lifestyle that will keep both under control?

Head on over to her special post, Help Me Help Others During Diabetes Awareness Month, and share!

Alicia
