Diabetes prevention and treatment road map released

A very useful and probably first of its kind tool, The Road Map to the prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes, has been released by The American College of Endocrinology (ACE) and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE). The road map will help the medical community to achieve ACE/AACE guideline recommendations. It is based on the data collected from the clinical trials of various drugs filed for FDA approval. It covers (1) naïve to therapy, (2) treated patients and (3) prevention. The road map could be altered if necessary, to suit specific needs of a patient.
