Diary of a Married Bachelor – Day 5

7:15 AM – Jake’s up. That’s not good. He was tired and whiny yesterday. Let’s see if I can’t get him to sleep with me for a bit.

8:15 AM – Snuggle time is over. I don’t think Jake slept much more.

8:30 AM – I was right. Time for Jake to head back up to bed for a bit. Either that or he and I are gonna throw down before the day is over.

9:15 AM – Jake re-starts his day. Let’s hope for better luck this go around.

11:30 AM – A lazy Sunday morning continues, with some books, some blogging, some videos and some video games.

12:15 PM – Grandma’s here to watch the kids while I go play my soccer game. Yay Grandma!

3:00 PM – Another victory! And the only injury is a nice looking bruise on my foot. See this is where I’m supposed to be able to show Kerri my battle wound, and she humors me with a bit of sympathy. Today I get nothing. Grandma’s not interested; neither are the boys; and Samantha’s trying to convince me the little bruise on her shin is worse. Sheesh…

5:00 PM – Dinner. Strangely, after all that eating the last three days none of them were hungry for lunch today. Wonder if they’ll make up for it now?

5:45 PM – Dinner’s over, and with no church meeting tonight a movie in the basement sounded good to all.

8:00 PM – We made it most of the way through Over the Hedge before the DVD got all wonky. Filled up the time with a couple episodes of Justice League, and now everyone is in bed. I’m not feeling too hot, so I’m calling it quits early tonight as well. Four days down, and I need to give myself a fighting chance to cross the finish line on my feet. Buenos nachos!
