Dice K and wife expecting second child

For those of you who follow Major League Baseball, more specifically the Red Sox, pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka (Dice K) will likely miss the ‘08 season opener in Tokyo which may coincide with the birth of his second child. The 27  year old pitcher and his wife already have a 2 year old daughter.

Dice K is excited about the child and thinks it will help him win a second world series.

It will be the best source to give me power. I will aim for a second straight World Series title. Personally I will have to achieve more and I am convinced I can do better than what I did this season.

According to ESPN, team management was quoted as saying “We’re hopeful that their second child will be born at such a time to allow him to participate”.
