Have you ever wanted to have a little reference on Japanese food on your shelf.  Maybe this is it.

A Dictionary of Japanese Food: Ingredients and culture (Richard Hosking) is just as it says.  A two way dictionary (Japanese to English and English to Japanese) that gives little definitions and descriptions of most of the common Japanese ingredients.  This little book is very useful when you are living in Japan to help at the supermarket or when you are living somewhere else if you want to use Japanese recipes and you need to make some substitutions.  I bought mine in Japan for about 1900 yen.  I think you should be able to get it on Amazon for less.
