Did You Take Your Vitamins Yet?

That’s my husband’s question, every morning. Well for about 2 months. He got tired of reminding me everyday. So technically, it’s his fault that I haven’t taken my vitamins in months,
. The other day he saw the bottle, shook it and it was obvious, it’s err, full. So his question changed. “You just stopped taking it huh”? Umm, yeah, pretty much. Seriously, he really has to physically shove a pill in my throat for me to remember to take my vitamins. I am sooo bad at it.
Surprisingly though, while pregnant with my 2 children, respectively, I never missed a day to take my pre-natal vitamins. I’m very good at following the rules when I have to worry about the health of someone else. I stopped drinking coffee. I stopped drinking iced tea. I stopped alcohol, naturally.
In my second pregnancy, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I had to watch my food intake. Every check up I had to show them my daily log of testing. I poked my fingers 3 times a day to test my sugar level. Hard as it was, I was good. Ritually good. Annoyingly good. Now that it’s over, I can’t remember to take my daily vitamins. Figures.
Kidding aside, I really should take it everyday. After my husband showed me the bottle, I actually had an epiphany. “Take your vitamins Woman”!
So yeah, I’ve been taking it
.

I am a registered dietitian with Nature Made vitamins and I cannot stress how important it is to take your vitamins everyday! Along with a healthy diet and exercise, vitamins and supplements can help boost immunity, maintain strong bones and promote overall health and well-being. I’m a mother of two and I take a multi for overall health and fish oil which provides omega-3 fatty acids.
I have been starting up the vitamins thing again– multi, folic acid, beta carotene, and vitamin c. I forget as well, and other times I just don’t want to take them because I feel like they “sit in my stomach.”
