I joined Twitter to follow Autism Twitter Day, and found it overwhelming, but kind of exhilarating, too! I have never commented here, either, although I have been reading you for the last several years. I am shy, and keep a low profile, especially online. However, i would like to thank you for your wonderful blog! (I am a private consultant who works with kids on the spectrum.)

Heh. I'm with Jypsy on that one. I guess I'm just a technological old fogey: I pine for the Good Old Days of Usenet News. Now *that* was a civilized world, before the commercialization of the Internet opened it to spammers and destroyed it: asynchronous, go-at-your-own-leisurely-pace, and you could filter out the jerks by *plonking* them onto your killfile.

I have the slideshow that was put together by a member of twitter (pfanderson) on my blog. I did not like how the techy guy used TannersDad blog post on the day which mentions orgs I do not agree with.

Still have to sort through the prize info to let the donors know. My son missed his school work online that day, but did offline work, and today I wasted several hours at SSI unaware the worker was on jury duty, so now rescheduling

I did. It took me back to my old irc days and reminded me why I gave it up and find email more my speed. Would I again? Maybe, but certainly not often. Real time is too hard on my head, both in person and online.

I did it for about 3 hours (fortunately it was a slow day here), and would definitely do it again. I think that it might be more helpful to have different topics in different discussion areas, but it was definitely not boring! And it's certainly a challenge to keep things to 130 characters :-)
