Dinner and the Working Mother

plate.jpgI’m forever talking about getting dinner on the table as it ranks right up there as a potential major stressor for working parents whose children insist upon eating every night.

Imagine my happiness as Sister Sassy regales us with an episode of Dinner Time and the Working Mom where she shares her meal ideas.

Go on over and check it out.

Thank you so much! This is a huge problem for me as well. Our kids are not that hungry (right now) at dinner time, so for now we feed them at about 6. Then, Mr. D and I scavenge later in the evening. It is very unhealthy for us! The kids are getting older though, so a more centralized family meal time is desirable. (Your site is looking wonky this morning, is it just me?)

Thanks for linking to me, so glad you like it! I was worried people would get bored with it but now I think I’ll keep it going periodically :)

Egad, DINNER. My greatest nemesis as well! Some days, it’s bowls of cereal all around. Other days, we go out to dinner and budget be damned! I did finally decide to be nicer to myself on this point and let up on my inbred horror of frozen dinners (they are making some surprisingly good ones these days! Not just pizza!) and even going to those “dinner a’fare” places (there’s a couple brands, ‘dinner a’fare” being only one) where you spend a couple hours assembling your own frozen dinners-to-order which you take home and freeze. A little pricey, but really GOOD meals and cheaper than restaurant food.

Also? Cereal is not all that bad, you know… most are vitamin fortified. Plus there’s the MILK…
