“Is abstinence realistic for teens?”has been a question cropping up in discussions recently, as teens like Bristol Palin make the news.

    Trying to force abstinence on kids only creates a barrier between parents and adults. Kids are going to learn about sex and be pressured into sex no matter what parents influence them to do. I think it’s more important for parents to teach kids to have sex smartly, safely, and in better circumstances.
