Do as I Say… Not as I… Did

No, it’s not what you think. You are actually going to like this one. I only wish that someone had told me before it was too late.

There are going to be moments in your children’s lives, when they are going to have the sweetest little outfits. I’m thinking of my son’s Christening outfit and all the little dresses that Britt wore… while she still let me pick out her clothes. And what did I do with them??

I really can’t remember. Somewhere on this planet is my son’s christening outfit. He had to be the cutest one year old in the church and I would give anything to see that outfit again. Why on earth would I give that away?

And then there was Britt. She had the cutest little dresses until she reached three. And then she learned to pick out what she liked and what she didn’t like. She was the typical little tomboy and dresses were quickly crossed off her list. I do have one tiny little pink sleeper that I saved for some reason and I still look at it from time to time and wondered how she could have possibly have fit in something so tiny!!

So, if you are thinking of giving away their tiny little outfits, that’s okay because I know that you can’t keep everything. But be sure to keep anything that has special memories attached.
