I know that the school year is just ending in many areas, but when it comes to helping teens in need, it’s not too early to think ahead to the fall.
Ciara, Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, is teaming up with Staples and DoSomething.org to help students who can’t afford basic school supplies.
Ciara said:
“Every little bit counts and, through Do Something 101, the more we can get these essential products to teens, the more we help kids stay in school and excel even further. I look forward to working with DoSomething.org and Staples to spread the word!”
The musician is encouraging teens (and anyone else) to collect school supplies and drop them off at their nearest Staples store. The School Supply Drive officially kicks off in July, but it’s not too early to keep an eye out for sales.
Donations will be accepted at Staples from July 5 through September 19. The supplies will be delivered to teens in need in your local community.
Teens may also run their own school supply drives! Go to Do Something 101 for the details. Staples customers will also have the opportunity to get involved by donating $1 at any Staples store with 100% of the money going to local teens in need.
