Do You Cut Your Sandwiches Into Quarters?

It is funny how kids can be real picky about how they want things. Take for example my oldest daughter. I make cold lunch for her and my son each morning for school. It is usually the infamous peanut butter and jelly sandwich or tuna. Lately my daughter insists I cut the sandwich into 4 parts and not just 2. She tells me it fits better in her mouth and it actually makes the sandwich taste better. My son, on the other hand, doesn’t even want the sandwich cut at all. He prefers to eat it like daddy eats it. I never cut my sandwiches in half.

I wonder if some of it has to do with who she eats lunch with at school and maybe they have their sandwiches cut into quarters. Who knows?

So here is a question for ya. How do you prepare your sandwiches? Do you cut them in half, quarters, thirds, or not at all?

I have always cut my own sandwiches in half, diagonally.

My wife cuts hers in half down the middle. Which is normally what we do for the kids, too. And, they normally make us cut off the crust.

If we are really feeling friendly, we use a cookie cutter to cut the sandwich into a neat shape.

I cut my sandwiches in half, diagonally. It actually does make it easier to eat IMHO because you can start on the corner, take a bite, and not have to worry about getting sandwich fixins all over your face (which can happen as you take that first bite from a whole sandwich, don’t you know?)

    Quarters.

    I have my orders ;-)
