I cut my sandwiches in half, diagonally. It actually does make it easier to eat IMHO because you can start on the corner, take a bite, and not have to worry about getting sandwich fixins all over your face (which can happen as you take that first bite from a whole sandwich, don't you know?)

I have always cut my own sandwiches in half, diagonally.

My wife cuts hers in half down the middle. Which is normally what we do for the kids, too. And, they normally make us cut off the crust.

If we are really feeling friendly, we use a cookie cutter to cut the sandwich into a neat shape.
