I’m not sure if the award winning Ontario College of Art and Design has ever made an Offbeat appearance – (I’m feeling lazy about checking all the 2006 archives). That said, I’ll err on the safe side and post it.
If you haven’t seen it; it’s pretty cool. It is however, one of those buildings that might make some feel a little nervous. Having lived in earthquake prone areas, I’m inclined not to frequent buildings on stilts. It’s likely perfectly safe, but…
Arcspace has one of the better galleries of the college going on, including some sweet interior shots.

It isn’t green, and it isn’t a home, but it is my favourite building in town and I smile every time I see it. What could be better?
I know; some of the best offbeat stuff is neither green nor a home. Sadly. But, smiles are good too.
In the Arcspace gallery shot of the front, it looks like a strange monster roaming the city.
I love it though.
