Do You Have A Kitchen Herb Garden?

I have a small garden right outside my kitchen door with several of my favorite herbs to use for cooking. All I have to do is step out the door to pluck all the fresh herbs I need to make my favorite recipes all summer long.
What should you plant in a kitchen herb garden? I have chives, a potted mint, oregano, a couple different kinds of thyme, basil, rosemary, and cilantro. I have more herbs in other gardens, but these are the herbs I cook with most, so they get a special spot right outside my door.
I also plant a few cutting flowers in my kitchen herb garden, so I can step outside my door and pick a fresh bouquet for the table, while I’m snipping a few herbs.

Debbie does too. Fresh herbs are so much nicer than dried ones, and the smell of Basil or Thyme is great. It’s hard to pass the herbs without pinching a leaf and rubbing it between my fingers.

BTW I love your blog!
That’s a great idea. I have the “kit” to grow an herb garden, too but still haven’t tried it. I lack a green thumb! I love the idea about the cut flowers, too.
