Do you have a mascot?

When you are needing something to make you smile, what do you think of? What image makes things instantly better for you. Is it one that already exists…or is it something that you created yourself….I know at least one CFS blogger that creates little knitted items that make people smile.

For me, its Bananas in Pajamas. I think they sum up CFS Squared quite well. They are cooky, and there are 2 of them (when this blog originated there were 2 authors), they wear pajamas ALL the time, and bananas are a great source of serotonin.

Every time I think of them I start to giggle. Although, I think I would choose another theme song, because theirs drives me crazy.

Everybody sing along now….

bananas in pajamas are going down the stairs…
bananas in pajamas…..

ok that’s enough, I will now be singing that song all day long.

Please let me know what you think of that is guaranteed to make you feel better.

For me it’s a real life creature, an adorable rottweiler. Just thinking of him brings a smile to my face. However, being an incredibly strong and energetic dog, he doesn’t exactly represent CFS! Maybe an English bulldog? We may be slow and breathe heavily but we’re tenacious!

I have a bunch of things that make me smile–my family, my cat snuggling up to me when I’m in bed and don’t feel well.

My MP3 player really helps alot, whether I put on soothing or rockin’ music. And watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer or House MD are enough to get my mind off how bad I feel.

My mp3 player is the only thing that gets me through housework!

Mary Englebreit drawings make me feel better. Here’s the link to her free desktop backgrounds: http://www.maryengelbreit.com/FreeFromME/DesktopBackgrounds.aspx

Hard to decide on a favorite. I have She Who Laughs on my desktop now. I expecially like her borders and when she does scenes of cozy rooms.

    Hi all,

I am so pleased that you all have an instant pick me up.

Pets really are the best. Especially ones that you can touch. I have some seamonkeys (aka brine shrimp), but they really aren’t the same.

Ah the mp3 player….yeah thats a good one…it can do a lot to manipulate one’s mood.

I too am starting to get addicted to television (however, I can only watch it on dvd format)…I don’t have the patience, or the energy to watch it in any other way. I love 24, Lost, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Weeds. Although, I don’t get a chance to watch much of them. Case in point, I just finished the 1st season of 24…I have been watching it for a little over a year now, and I am still 6 seasons behind :)

Sherril – welcome to CFS Squared – I checked out the link that you sent. They are sweet pictures, I can understand why they would make you feel better….for my desktop wallpaper (at work) I have a picture of my nephew from his first halloween dressed as a skunk, with pieces of chocolate in both hands – and he fell over onto his back, right after he lost his balance..all sprawled out, so he looks like roadkill. Its the funniest picture ever. It always makes me laugh when I see it.
