Does Your Cat Clean the Litter Box?

My cats are, I swear, nothing short of cheap entertainment!

Two of the three have a habit of cleaning their litter boxes from top to bottom after using them. I don’t mean the usual “covering up” after their business is done – they stay in the box a minute or so more and scratch at every nook and corner of the box itself and then the lid.

Not surprising for a cat, I suppose, and it’s funny during the day but we can hear them at night too. Does your cat insist of scouring the box when he or she is done?

  1. I used to have some cats that did that. Thankfully, the cat I have now doesn’t do that. All of the scratching gets old.

  2. Red says:

They’re only trying to clean their paws and nails after the covering up.

It really does! One of the cats does it every single time she’s in there, the other just once in a while. Needless to say we can pretty much always tell which cat is in the box :D

Mine used to, but now she got bored. I don’t know if it is because she is getting older, or because i replaced the sand with toilet paper

  5. Heather says:

Ok DeBlog, you’ve got to tell me more about this toilet paper in place of sand!
