Does Your Weight Control Your Thoughts?

If you are struggling to lose weight, you may have already become obsessed with your weight. It’s okay, in my opinion, to be conscious about your weight. If you take it to the extreme, though, it could do you more harm than good.
Quiz: Answer the following questions with a simple “Yes” or “No.”
- Do you step on the scale more than once per day?
- Do you wonder every time you eat how many pounds you’re gaining with each meal?
- When you see someone who appears to be the size you want to be, do you try to guess their weight?
- Are the numbers you see on the scale the only thing you can think about all day, every day?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you are allowing your weight to control your thoughts. The best way to stop this is to focus your mind on other things. You have to force yourself to stop the negative thoughts and replace them with positive ones.

While I am conscious of my weight, I rarely weigh myself – I don’t even own a scale! For me, I tend to look in store windows and mirrors a lot to see how I look.
