It’s Dog Day!

Today is Dog Day and that is why right now, we are going to talk about dogs and the environment. Well, not exactly what dogs can do for the environment but what we can do to become green dog owners.

If you have gone over Portland Parks and Recreation, you would know just how the officials of the area have programs and tips for dog owners so they can help keep the environment clean and very green.

One of the tips that you may want to follow is that when walking your dog, make sure that you keep him/her on a leash. By doing so, you would be able to control your dog on where he/she may be treading. See, if they are unleashed, they could go about disturbing plants and other animals.

And when it comes to dog poop, make sure that you take care of it. It may be a smelly job but someone’s gotta do it. As the owner of the dog, you should pick it up and properly dispose of it. There are dog poop bags available in the market.
