Don’t Give Up On Recycling

One of the main reasons that hinder people from doing their recycling duties is the belief that even if they do segregate their trash each day, they do believe that the people who pick up the trash would only be tossing them all into one place and there goes the hard work of segregating everything.
However, one TV channel in the Chicago area did give people a chance to look into the city’s recycling program. During the said TV program, the reporter did find out that when you do segregate your trash, those collect them continuously separate them further. Then, the segregated materials would be sent to their proper destinations.
So you see, your efforts at your recycling duties are not put to waste.

I like how they handle it in my area, just for the sheer simplicity. All the recyclables go in one big bin. The recycling center handles all of the separation. More work for them, but I figure more people will recycle if it’s only a minimal effort for them.
Hmm…nice idea. I agree Green SAHM. Less choices for people could actually make people recycle more since it doesn’t take that much effort.
Well, compared to having different bins for bottles, cans, paper, and non-recyclables, this 2 bin approach (recyclable/non-recyclable) could be a very nice solution.
i think the simplicity of the matter is that recycling should be more based on the fact that children are our future. We should encourage them.
