If you’re a big online shopper like me, there’s an easy way you can make a free donation to help shelter animals while you shop.
Bring Pets Home, a not-for-profit animal charity that raises money to help animals in shelters, allows you to select a shelter to receive funds and then go shopping! All it takes is a simple registration so that you can choose which shelter will receive funds.

Visitors to Bring Pets Home can access more than 150 online retailers that will donate a percentage of purchases to Bring Pets Home. This costs nothing for the shopper.
For example, when you click to Apple iTunes from Bring Pets Home, iTunes will contribute 5% of your purchase back to Bring Pets Home. Other retailers include Walmart, Macy’s, amazon.com, Office Depot, Nordstrom, Gaiam and more. Your new Netflix membership would generate a contribution of between $9-16 if you click through to them from Bring Pets Home. (Contribution rates current as 6-27-09)
“More pets are entering shelters, but donors’ purse strings have tightened. Anyone can help by simply remembering to visit www.bringpetshome.org to click-through to a favorite online merchant whenever shopping online,” said marketing director Linda Block at Bring Pets Home.
Bring Pets Home also features informative pet articles on safety, wellness and finding lost cats or dogs.
