Don’t Forget Armed Forces Day

Tomorrow, May 16, 2009, is Armed Forces Day. This day was created to recognize the sacrifice that all of the men and women in the military have made.

I think it is one of my favorite holidays of this type, because it isn’t about a war or whether someone earned a special honor. It is a simple, “Thanks for going through all the hardship of boot camp, being away from your family and risking your life for what you believe in.” Our local military base will have a marathon and live entertainment tomorrow.
