‘Dr. Cox’ from Scrubs expecting

Actor John C. McGinley, who plays the role of the overbearing Dr. Cox, and his wife are expecting their first child as a couple in February. McGinley already has a ten year old son from a previous marriage and is excited about being able to give him more siblings.

“Nicole and I want to have an army,” he said. “You know, we want to have as many kids as we’re lucky enough to have. I’ve always wanted to surround Max with brothers and sisters and that’s what we’re going to do.”

McGinley sounds like he gets genuinely involved with his son Max, 10, who had Down syndrome, so much so that he won the parent of the month award from iParenting.com in 2002.

I saw an interview of him speaking about his child and it was touching. Sometimes I think men getting emotional about parenting can make change happen faster.
