E-Cards…Do You Use Them for Quilting Friends & Customers?

E-cards and postcards…do you use them for quilting friends and customers (if you have a business)? A discussion evolved about this at a blog I read regularly.

I used to open e-cards and enjoyed receiving them. Then spammers and hackers began using them for their own reasons, even to infect our computers with viruses. So there is only one person whose e-cards I’ll open. (Some say they don’t even open cards from people they know for fear someone may have “borrowed” the friend’s e-mail address.)

However, people do still like to receive cards and notes in the mail.

“Mary, I was so surprised to get your letter in the mail, “ a friend remarked. “I didn’t think people bothered to do that any more with e-mail and all.”

So I spend the postage to send cards and notes to customers and special people in my life. I regularly send postcard updates about my business and products to customers and find the results are worthwhile. My husband and I design these cards on our computer and can personalize them.

What about you?

Do you open e-cards?

Do you send postcards and letters to customers and feel it’s worth the postage?
