If you have any refrigerated Nestle Toll House cookie dough products, dispose of them immediately. Sixty-five people in 29 states have been infected with a strain of E. coli O157:H7 linked to eating raw Nestle cookie dough.

The CDC doesn’t recommend cooking the dough. That might spread the E. coli to your hands and cooking surfaces. The CDC is also reminding people not to eat raw foods intended for baking. However, according to the CDC, E. coli O157:H7 hasn’t been previously associated with eating raw cookie dough.
Nestle Toll House morsels and other already baked cookie products aren’t included in this recall.

I love cookie dough – raw or cooked. First peanut butter, now chocolate chip cookies – what’s next? ice cream? This is really impacting my diet!
