Easy Patriotic Kids Crafts

June 29, 2009 by Chloe Findlay-Harder

With both Canada Day and the 4th of July just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to post a patriotic craft for the kids to have fun with.

You can easily change the color of the paper to fit your your country.  It can even be made with heavy-duty interfacing, fused to fabric for a sturdier pinwheel.

What about covering the handle with ribbons and attaching streamers to the end?  There are all sorts of fun things that can be done with pinwheels – and they’re easy to make too!

I love this project. It would be great to make with the kids and then it can entertain them afterward. Fun for a birthday party or school project too.
