Eat, Pray, Love Winner

The hat-drawn winner of the Blog Fabulous Eat Pray Love Contest is . . . Alecia Gibson, who shared that she started doing things alone in 2007. Three cheers for that effort!

Let me just say that this contest was a great experience for me. I got the warm and fuzzies every time someone acknowledged their own efforts and successes.

I was moved by the profound responses about people giving birth to a child, losing some extra weight, learning to take care of their health better, spending time with their kids, growing their relationship with God, making peace with the past, letting resentments go, caring for ailing relatives, quitting smoking, taking control of their finances, accomplishing life-long dreams. Profoundly moving – all of it. Seriously, I’m going to bookmark that page and read it whenever I feel like the world is going mad.

That’s the stuff that changes a person from the inside out.

What I’m trying to say is – I’m proud of you. I feel like I know you better. Who you are being in the world is making me more optimistic and happy.
