You’re right about the packaging. However, on the other hand, online shopping saves people from the time,effort, and gasoline, if they need to go to a brick and mortar shop.

The gasoline spent by all of the shoppers going to the store is definitely more compared to the gasoline of a few delivery vehicle who will deliver the goods.

I think that eBay going solar is a great idea, and I applaud their efforts.

I do question whether online shopping is really greener than traditional bricks & mortar shopping. Everything I buy online is packaged in a box, with additional padding – then delivered in a gas/diesel delivery vehicle one item at a time.

I really like Ebay for the wide variety of used products that I can find. I purchase all my dress clothes from there.
