The 2006 Cooling Industry Awards has given the SolarChill the Environmental Pioneer in Refrigeration award. Yipee!

What is the SolarChill?

It is a refrigeration technology which is friendly to the environment. And it uses solar power to give you that cool chill. You can use this to transport perishable goods without having to use electricity. Cool, huh?

The creators of this SolarChill are of course very proud. Refrigerants used are very safe on the environment. It does not use lead batteries. And it has already been tested in various countries which just simply shows that it works and it really works well.

Wolfgang Lohbeck is a member of GreenPeace in Germany and he has heard and seen the SolarChill. He does describe this one by saying, “The SolarChill technology clearly demonstrates the huge, largely untapped resource of clean, renewable solar power that’s out there. This innovation will improve the delivery of vaccine programmes in many regions of the world and save countless lives.”

Kudos SolarChill!
