Electric Bikes At The University Of Washington

Riding a bike is considered to be a form of exercise. But with electric bikes, it could mean a different story. And that story could be starting in the University of Washington which is already working on plans to bring in electric bikes to the campus as part of a bike share program.

Although it has not been disclosed what kind of batteries these electric bikes would be coming with, what we currently know is that the vehicles would be coming with an electric assist feature. This would help the user go up hills and inclines easily compared to traditional bikes.

According to news, the Seattle campus is already working with Intrago so as to be able to bring to life the electric bike share program. It would work as self-rental bicycles and the news say that it would be just like all other kinds of bike share programs available.

This is an excellent blog for electric bicycles. There are not too many around like this. Thanks for making this such an interesting subject. Oh, by the way, Wired Magazine has a great article on hybrid cars this month. (Jan 2008 issue).

    God Bless,
    Elmo
