You're too sweet!

We'll have to let my husband in on the fact that being a brazen loud mouth CAN be a plus in some areas of life! Ha!

It's so nice to have you back Ashley.

Your absence made me realize what an integral part you play in Blog Fabulous as "the conversation starter." Without you my comments were greatly reduced because no one wanted to go first.

I H-E-A-R-T Ashley!

I think I can get on board with this too. Although, I do believe teachers should break up 'fights' before someone gets hurt (or sued) I don't believe contact sports should be banned. I think there are many life lessons to be learned on the 'field' or playground. I have two boys and I don't even bat an eye anymore when they bruise, scrape, or scratch themselves. Of course I give them the sympathetic boo-boo kiss, but other than that, we don't make a big whoo-ha. I see so many mothers that are literally raising their children as if they were glass ornaments. Like the playground moms with the finger spray neosporin and the antibacterial lotion on the ready.. Gag me.

Besides disciplining for things like angry hitting or really out-and-out mean stuff - I just let them go and explore. It's healthy. They need to get dirty and muddy and even a little roughed up sometimes. It's how they learn lessons for themselves.

Also, with the amount of obese children in our country why in the heck would we be banning any physical activity?
