I just lost my wife to breast cancer. She was 47.
When we discovered she had a small lump. We were very proactive and removed it with radiation as a standard follow-up.She had a mamogram every year. She went in for a check-up about 2years ago and we discovered it not only came back but had spread to the brain, bones and liver. Well, we were told that she didn't have long to live. We I visited my wife in the ChemoTherapy room, I saw all the poor women from 20 years old to 81. Many were there for the 1st time, some for reoccuring cancer. No one in the medical profession ever told us that it would come back. We found out that for many people it will come back with in 5 to 7 years. Don't you think that if the medical profession would know this and take great precautions with each patient to catch the cancer before it was to late. I read alot of material on cancer and discovered evidence that points to trigger mechanisms that cause cancer to reoccur like weight gain. No clinical trials were ever mentioned to us.I'm very disappointed. I feel very sorry for Ms. Edwards as she is down the same path as my wife. I would like to talk to her and her husband about what she can expect and what he should be doing for her.I have a web site for jobs and careers but I added cancer links and resources for women. www.tonysgetajob.com thanks for listening

[...] Elizabeth Edwards Breast Cancer Is Back Breast Cancer Affects Everyone and it s badder than ever. The cancer has metastasized to her bones, and the prognosis is poor.
