Yes, it’s true. A man proposed and a woman accepted. All over twitter. Looks legit.
And it doesn’t appear to have been the first time this happened. Greg & Stef a few weeks ago. And Jerrod & Shannon six months before that. There are even rumors of one prior to them.
All the best to both couples, but I just don’t know about this. Having already professed by Luddite tendencies and thus far having avoided most of the social networking fads, that will come as no surprise to folks. It just seems a little to off the cuff to me. “Will you marry me?” stuck in between “Finishing some sweet PHP hacks on my Facebook” and “Found $0.40 and half a Nutra-grain bar in the couch cushions.” Course, internet dating still strikes me as weird, too.
What do you think? Am I just that out of touch?
