A zit?
Well.
I’d have a flawless complexion if I just drank enough water -
- oh, and ate fewer oily foods. I am my mother’s daughter.
Like hers, my tummy pooch glorifies the children it’s proudly borne.
And yeah, after breastfeeding, my breasts are saggy and worn.
My thighs could probably be more toned,
Though they’re strong enough to crush a man’s throat.
And besides, I’d lose the art I’ve honed of dressing to disguise my butt.
So I’m not perfect – who is?
Being comfortable with your appearance -it’s about genetics, after all.
My dad’s thin hair, my aunt’s muddy eyes,
I got my acne from grandpa, I suppose.
My grandmother’s underarm flab and flat chest -
Well, and companies don’t know how to make clothes.
Of course then there’s dad’s bad teethweak kneespudgychintroll-liketoes…..
Anyway.
It’s just a zit.
But….who can I blame for my nose?

Well I think you’re beautiful (although your super strong thighs terrify me!)
My vote is yours ;0)
You have my vote… Great words that made me think- you are obviously a strong gorgeous person!
That was hysterical! And for the record, my kids call my tummy pooch cupcake!
You’ve got my vote! LOL at the ending!
I can tell from this poem that you’re absolutely beautiful Aerin.
I love this, Aerin – chuckled the whole way through! What a hoot!
Quirky and sad-funny at the same time.
Loved it!!
Congratulations!!!!!
