One of the best ways to teach the young ones about the importance of the environment is through experience. And it is amazing to learn that many a number of schools are now helping out the environment be greener and less polluted.

At the Olathe South High School, one student there, Jacob Chapman, is his little environmentalist. Right now, one of his dreams would be to have a rooftop garden in his school. In fact, he is currently asking for help from his schoolmates and classmates so as to make the dream reality. He also is educating his classmates on recycling of bottles and paper.

Chapman is 18 years old and on this, he shares, “Our school is farther along than some, but I’m sure we could do more.” At present, it can be said that he is one of the growing number of students who are doing efforts to help keep not only their school but the environment greener.

Way to go Jacob!
