Essential Stallone

Bad Dad Radio has a great list of essential Stallone movies. I say great because it really captures Stallone as an actor, balancing the man we all know as Rocky with the same man who made Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot.

Many of Stallone’s movies are funny without ever intending to be. Looking at BDR’s list made me chuckle on a few occasions, especially when trying recall while a man who is essentially a vagrant in Rambo can kill an entire police force in a small US town without ever doing a lick of jail time…. and return for three corny iterations. As a refresher, in the follow up movies he wipes out small armies in various corners of the globe with a knife, a bow and 30 rounds of ammunition.

Anyway, BDR’s list of essential Stallone is worth a read if you’re an action movie buff or whether you like new or old Stallone.
