Estes/Twombly continued – the McKeough House

Last night I told you about my little crush on Estes/Twombly. This morning I’ve got my favorite structure from this firm. I’m pretty sure the McKeough House is the first Estes/Twombly home I saw, and it’s lovely.

Ok, more than lovely. This is like twilight house eye candy bliss. That term won’t be sweeping the nation anytime soon, but it’s how I feel. This beautiful structure is traditional Block Island with a twist. The porch connects between both of the side house blocks, and also continues throughout the house (front to back) – you can see this application in the interior house images.

You can read my first post about this firm, or learn more at the Estes/Twombly website. When you visit I suggest you check out both the glorious Estes House and the Cyronak House; great structures – not to be missed.
