EU Recycles Batteries

Members of EU have all agreed to help out the environment. And one of their contributions would be to actually ask all people in and within the EU region to recycle batteries.
Of course, not all people has the knowledge and the right kind of equipment to recycle these mobile power sources. So as part of the lay, EU has created some areas called public collection points. These are where ordinary consumers and even businesses can drop off any of their used batteries. This, of course, is a good thing for batteries are disposed of properly and are later reused.
“The faster we start to collect and recycle batteries, the better for the environment,” shares Stavros Dimas. Dimas is the EU’s head and commissioner for its Environment department. And it is not a secret anymore that batteries, when they are not properly disposed, could become hazards not only to the environment but also to the health of people. This is because batteries have been created using heavy metals.
